Picture Health is hiring a Software Architect to lead the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of our AI oncology imaging biomarker systems. These software platforms will be used internally by our AI Science team to develop AI algorithms and externally as part of our cloud hosted clinical platform.  You will work closely with our renowned team of scientists to design and implement an ML Ops pipeline for deriving AI biomarkers from radiology and pathology images along with clinical data. Subsequently, you will design and create a cloud hosted platform and APIs to integrate the pipeline into clinical workflows and pharmaceutical clinical trials.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and motivate the Engineering team
• Work with the CTO and Engineering team to design and build the AI biomarker systems 
• Design system and architecture components to meet anticipated functionality and load requirements
• Create highly secure systems from the ground up which are compliant with the necessary compliance standards (ISO, 21 CFR, HIPAA, etc) and can obtain relevant certifications (SOC2, HiTrust, etc)
• Evaluate ML Ops tools and platforms and other development tools to make “build vs buy” decisions
• Code in Python, use ML Ops tools, C++, and GPU-based acceleration (e.g. CUDA)
• Contribute to business discussions about the service and user interfaces

Required Skills:

• Experience with medical applications, especially radiology and/or pathology images
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and rapid prototyping and feedback
• Knowledge of devops tools and processes
• Communicate well and be comfortable working with customers, product management, scientists, other developers, and test engineers
• Work independently and coordinate remotely with developers and scientists
• High energy and self-motivated

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of oncology, pharmaceutical clinical trial process, and clinical health workflows
• AI/ML development process
• Experience meeting compliance standards including integrating Quality Management Systems (QMS) into software development process

Location: Remote or Hybrid in Cleveland, OH. Team members travel for company on-sites every quarter.
